Turbo is a 3D computer animated comedy sports film produced by DreamWorks Animation. It is not great, it is not dull either. It is definitely full of clichés from the very beginning to the end. Yes, the snail was fast, and it raced against cars, and it had to overcome many obstacles to do so.
When the people who draft these rules for these competitions do so, is it that they leave loopholes so that movie producers could exploit them? Or are the movie producers just lying that such loopholes exist when in reality they don’t.
The movie is about a garden snail who dared to dream big. He had a thing for car racing and spent his entire slow life wishing he was competing in the top races.
His dream came true when a freak accident flushes Nitro into his system and infuses it with his DNA, causing Turbo to have the power of super-speed.
This power was witnessed by Tito, a "Dos Bros" taco truck driver, and he and Turbo embarked on a journey tagged impossible to compete in the world's fastest race, the Indianapolis 500.
One thing is certain though, like it or not the movie has sprung out a series titled Turbo: F.A.S.T (Fast Action Stunt Team).
A free mobile game Turbo Racing League, developed by PikPok, was released on May 16, 2013, for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 8 devices. Played as a snail, the game allows players to race against time and collect tomatoes to earn upgrades.
Verizon Wireless sponsored a competition with a total of $1,000,000 in cash prizes - the largest sum for a mobile game to date - in which competitors had to achieve daily goals or collect enough tomatoes to unlock access to the weekly contest.
The competition, which ran for eight weeks from May 16 through July 7, 2013, awarded the 10 fastest racers of each week up to $25,000, while the winner of the week was invited to the Grand Finale Race Event, which took place in Los Angeles on July 17, 2013, to earn the title of Turbo Racing League Champion and earn $250,000. In its first ten weeks, the game was downloaded more than 20 million times, and was the most downloaded racing application during the time. (culled from Wikipedia)
I will say give this movie a try and the mobile game is one that you will love to play, so download that.
