Watching it again in 2012, I still found myself laughing and thrilled by the action. RED to me is one movie all must see just to have it in your record that you have seen it. Then go see it again, to make sure all the scenes are well registered in your memory.

The movie is loosely based on the three issue comic book series of the same name. The issues were created by Warren Ellis (Hellblazer) and Cully Hamner (Green Lantern: Mosaic, Black Lightning: Year One), and published by DC Comics.

The name RED is an acronym for the main characters designation of status as the agent Frank Moses of the CIA (Bruce Willis) was tagged RED meaning "Retired, Extremely Dangerous".

Directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan (2005), Time Travelers Wife (2009)), this movie is a perfect mix of comedy and action and of cause film magic, to make you go, Ah!!!
Before RED in 2010, Willis had a cameo as Mr Church in the The Expendables and also played opposite Tracy Morgan in Cop Out. Cop Out was a mess, and his short 5 mins appearance in The Expendables was not so grand. But his 111 minutes of RED was a nice comeback.

Talks are on about a sequel, hope it works out, it will be nice to see the crew again. The movie also stars Academy Award Winner Morgan Freeman, and my God a masterful performance as a paranoid agent Marvin, which was played by John Malkovich. We are also joined by a MI6 agent played by Dame Helen Mirren.

The movie is an oldies reunion, and well done to them all.

Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) used to be a hired gun for the CIA, his specialty was carrying out jobs that the government wants hush, hush. Frank and his old crew Joe (Morgan Freeman), Marvin (John Malkovich), and Victoria (Helen Mirren) are now all retired. But the powers that be still sees them as a treat and a dispatch team of top assassins are hired to silence them.

Now, Frank and his former team members realized that their only hope for survival is to break into CIA headquarters and expose the truth. What the truth is, is what you have to watch to find out.

Along for the ride is Frank’s love connection, Sarah, who was initially kidnapped by Frank and later tagged along with the crew when her life too was in danger.

This is a great movie one that all should see.
