Watching a movie that you just can’t wait till it ends and when it does you wonder…what you just watched, that’s the feeling I got watching Happy Feet two.

Not saying Happy Feet two didn’t have its fun moments just saying that the plot and the screenplay was not enough to go ahead to make this movie. The movie starts with one note and holds that note till it ends, it was just plain flat.

In 2006, Happy Feet was a cool addition to a list of 3D cartoons that are fun to watch; tap dancing penguins add singing, with Robin Williams’ voice doing the deed of making you stay glued to the screen till the end. But here in 2011 it just seems like am watching Happy Feet one all over again.

Happy Feet two is directed, produced and written by George Miller (Mad Max series(1, 2 & 3))who did Happy Feet one 5 years ago and did nothing else in between, wasted what should have been a master piece on dancing, singing and introduction of new casts that makes you want to exit the cinema.

The movie has a lot of old school Hip-Hop and funk songs played all around given the older audience a nostalgic feeling.

To be honest the movie starts with penguin dancing and singing and that was a turn off, the introduction of the pair of Matt Damon and Brad Pitt as they play Bill and Will the Krill, was a fun part of the movie for me as we listen to the pair try to climb up the food chain.

The plot has Mumble and his new bride having problems with their son Erik who is reluctant to dance. Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven-a penguin who can fly! (yeah! right).

Mumble is unable to compete with this charismatic new role model who claims he can fly. But things took a turn for the worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces, trapping some of the penguins in a valley.

From here on go watch the movie as we see our “heroes” Mumble, Erik and two of his friends meet new creatures in this ICY ANTARCTICA and try all they can to reunite with the penguins.

This movie has all the takings to be a good movie, but it just lacks the story and the screenplay to get you there, I won’t be watching this movie again.
